■3rd Person POV■

Y/N is filling the bottles for the volleyball team right now. She gets inside te gym and places the bottles on the bench. After that she stretches her body and watches as the boys are practicing.

They're practicing their receive right now, when it's Nishinoya's turn  he did his signature rolling thunder. He looks so proud with what he did and he beams a smile. Nishinoya then met eyes with Y/N, starling the girl who's currently watching him. He then beams a big smile, making the girl's poor heart beats rapidly.

Y/N immediately averts her gaze and make herself busy by doing a lot of thing.

During the break time, Y/N and Yachi hands the boys their towel and water. Y/N then give the water to Nishinoya.

Y/N: Nishinoya kun... here

Nishinoya looks at Y/N and takes the bottles from her.

Nishinoya: Thank you so much! But really... after that day, we never meet each other

Y/N: ah yes... we never been in the same class too...

Nishinoya: well of course we have never been in the same class, you're smart... you're score is definitely outstanding huh L/N?

Y/N: Nishinoya san... you too are outstanding when you play volleyball...

Nishinoya's eyes widened a little and then he smiles.

Nishinoya: you really are a kind person aren't you? L/N

Then Enoshita's voice was heard, the break is over. Noya drinks his water and hands the bottle back at Y/N before running back to practice.

Y/N is still startled, her heart is pounding. This is the second time Nishinoya called her kind.

Y/N: L/N san I'll fill the wat- L/N san! Are you sick? Yo- your face is red

Y/N woke up from her daze, and immediately shook her head.

Y/N: ah no, I'm just uh... it's kind of hot, uh let me fill the water, I'll wash my face too hehe

With that Y/N runs out of the gym to the water bin. She crouches down and hugs Nishinoya's bottle.

Y/N: being in here is not safe for my heart...

■Y/N's POV■

The practice has ended, I'm currently putting the ball inside the basket with Yachi and the boys. After that, the boys change their clothes to their uniforms.

Enoshita locks the gym door as Yachi and I wait for him to do it. After that, the three of us, walk to the gate together. And then Tanaka, Narita, Kinoshita, and Nishinoya came to us. Not long after the 2nd year, Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima, and Yamaguchi came too.

Hinata: Yachi san come on we'll walk you to the bus stop.

Yachi: senpais, I'll walk with them

With that, the second year's walk together. Leaving us the third-year standing in front of the gate.

Kinoshita: L/N, where are you heading?

Y/N: uh? I'm going that way

Enoshita: let's all of us walk her together, it's late and L/N has never been out this late... I want to do it alone, but the boys from my class will definitely kill me if they find out

Y/N: uh, it's alright E-Enoshita kun... uh I'll be fine...

Nishinoya: I'll walk with her then! Along with Tanaka

Tanaka: yes, we're heading that way anyway

I look at the smiling Nishinoya kun. I'm going to walk home with him? Gosh, my heart. Even though Tanaka kun is around, I'm still going home together with Nishinoya Kun.

Nishinoya, Tanaka, and I walk together.

Tanaka: L/N, you kind of remind me of Kiyoko san, smart and beautiful!

I was startled after being complimented like that. And I stare down at my feet, am I really look as pretty as Shimizu san?

Nishinoya: of course they're different! Kiyoko san is Kiyoko san, L/N is L/N... they're not the same

I was stunned by Nishinoya's words. Of course, there's no way I could be seen like Shimizu san. Somehow my heartis aching.

Tanaka: right, I can't be seeing any other woman, Kiyoko san will always be in my heart, well anyway, I'm heading that way, bye you two!

With that Tanaka left, leaving me only with Nishinoya kun. There's only the two of us, but I'm not really happy after hearing what Nishinoya kun said. I could never be on the same page as Shimizu san.

Nishinoya: L/N, where's your house?

Y/N: uh ah... um, it's on XX street...

Nishinoya: Okay! I'll walk you there

I was startled when he said that and became flustered.

Y/N: N-no need Nishinoya kun, um you should head on your own house...

Nishinoya: nope, according to what Chikara said, you never leave school this late, and it doesn't sit right with me to let a cute girl like you walk on your own at night.

I can feel my cheeks are getting warm, but I still remember about earlier.

Y/N: I uh... it's okay... I'm not as pretty as Shimizu san... so I might not gonna get a lot of attention hehe...

Why did I say that? Just then Nishinoya kun stops and looks at me. Is he angry?

Y/N: I uh, I'm sorry I'm ki-

Nishinoya: you two are different, Kiyoko san is beautiful in her own way, and you too... you're very beautiful in your own way too L/N san, so you should be cautious

My heart skips a beat, Nishinoya kun said I'm beautiful. Nishinoya kun then chuckles and pats my head.

Nishinoya: but really... you've become really beautiful L/N san... but I don't think you changed much, because you're already cute... and you're still the kind person from back then...

Nishinoya kun beams his boyish smile before turning around and starts walking again.

Nishinoya: come on!

I walk next to him, can't help but feeling nervous, anxious, and happy. I really want to make him conscious of me.

■Nishinoya's POV■

I walk with L/N because I'm worried. Chikara said that she never been to any clubs, and always go home before it's dark. Most of all, L/N is a really cute girl, it's dangerous for her to walk alone at night.

I stole a glance at her, she really changed in appearance, but I don't think it's not that much. She's already cute back then too, and kind.

We finally stop at the house that's probably hers.

Nishinoya: okay then! I'll go back now, see ya tomorrow!

I turn around and about to walk away when I felt a tug on my uniform. I look back and see L/N is tugging on my gakuran. She looks down at her feet, seems a bit flustered. But then she suddenly looks up at me, and her face is slightly flushed probably because of the cold night, but she looks really cute.

Y/N: Nishinoya kun... uh thank you so much... I'm... I'm happy to walk home with Nishinoya kun...

My chest feels fuzzy when I see her like this. It's the first time a girl ever says that to me. But I can't get ahead of myself.

Nishinoya: uh, yes sure L/N no problem! We can always walk home together after practice.

L/N looks at me and suddenly she beams a smile.

Y/N: I... would like that a lot... Nishinoya kun

Her face looks so beautiful up close, we're around the same heights, I'm only about 6cm taller than her, so if we faced each other's, our face will be pretty close.

And I can feel something familiar, yet different. The familiar feeling I got whenever I see beautiful girls like Kiyoko san, but, there are unknown feelings along with it when I see L/N.

That night, I sleep with the image of L/N circling in my mind.
